We are looking to hire a senior Windows Systems Engineer with Linux experience to join our Global Systems Engineering Team. As part of the team, you will oversee the implementation, maintenance and consolidation of our global server infrastructure hosted in data centers worldwide, and act directly on client-facing systems. You will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as work on challenging projects aimed towards continuous improvement and evolution of our technology environment.
The infrastructure itself represents a motivating challenge: Windows platforms spread across more than 200 physical servers hosting 1,500 VM’s located in 4 data centers worldwide. The system infrastructure consists of multiple server platforms and NAS storage.
Responsibilities include:
Engineering, implementation, and maintenance of Operating Systems and monitoring tools
Daily administration of systems infrastructure
Build and implement automated deployment and management tools and processes for efficiency and consistency
Analysis and resolution of system-related incidents
Participate in the continuous improvement process for refining the architecture, performance, and scalability to improve the quality and uptime of the environment
Coordinate the deployment of new hardware to meet client expectations
Develop and enhance system policies, procedures, and controls
Ensure adherence to Information Security guidelines
Collaborate with international clients and global internal teams

Microsoft Windows 2019/2022 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a plus)

Server hardware platforms: Dell / HP / Cisco UCS
DR technologies: Zerto or equivalent
Virtualization Hypervisors: VMware, Ovirt, RedHat KVM

Monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog,WPA, WPR, Nagios, ITRS, Spectrum etc.)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
(MCSE) Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification preferred
Minimum of 7 years Windows Systems Engineering experience within a large infrastructure environment
Minimum of 2 years UNIX/Linux Engineering experience within a large infrastructure environment
Very strong problem-solving skills, with proven ability to analyze, determine root cause and resolution of complex problems
Experience in tracking and analyzing performance and resource utilization of systems, as well as recommending capacity changes, upgrades, and enhancements based on the technical analysis to ensure high availability and maintenance of SLAs
Good analytical skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently or in a team environment
Strong experience in production support of 24/7 live environments. Must be able to work under extreme pressure with a good understanding of the risks and potential impact of managing client-facing global environments
Participate in the implementation of solutions involving data encryption, data masking, secure file transfers, and data leakage prevention
Experience with Active Directory including remediation and consolidation, as well as a strong foundation in other directory service technologies including GPO, DNS, and DHCP
Hands-on experience designing and configuring Microsoft Windows Server technology including antivirus, patch management, Citrix, and System Administration tools
Experience with PowerShell, VBScript, Python, WMI, etc.
Able to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) if needed
Motivated, hardworking, and exceptional attention to detail
Proven crisis management skills
Strong interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills
Financial Services industry experience is a plus
AWS experience is a plus
