Role Overview
The Network Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of the company wide Network Infrastructure.
The ideal candidate for this position should be someone who is willing to take on challenges, able to work with some of the newest and cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Participating in the network project design review process and the implementation of network deployment plans
- Execute knowledge transfer of complex LAN/MAN/WAN and security infrastructure
- Implement and document technology solutions that comprise of Cisco routing, switching and security.
- Provide Level 3 escalation support for Network/Systems/monitoring operations and mentor Level 1 engineers
- Analyze and tune performance of strategic network infrastructure
- Use protocol analyzer to troubleshoot and verify proper operation of complex configurations/applications
- Troubleshoot end to end connectivity problems with various groups such as Level I support, systems Engineers and operations teams
- Maintain regional network systems, as needed, and provides off-hours coverage via mobile/remote access as necessary
- Responsible for the provisioning/deployment and operations of local and wide area network and leading assigned projects to completion
- Must be available to work rotating shifts and provide on-call remote support
Your profile
- Graduated in computer science or equivalent and passionate about networking
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in networking
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Advanced level of network and data center support
- Actual configuration and troubleshooting experience with Cisco ASA/Fire Power and Cisco Nexus
- Fluent level of English is required and good communication skills
- Implementation and operational support of routing/switching protocols in complex network environments including OSPF, MPLS, VPSL, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, Spanning Tree, 802.1q, 802.1x, 802.3af (PoE), etc.
- Platform experience with any of the following hardware vendors: Cisco 3750, 65XX, 28XX-38XX, Nexus 3K/5K/9K and Cisco ASA/Fire Power Firewalls
- Strong knowledge, implementation and troubleshooting experience with IPSEC/3DES VPN's and Remote Access Solutions
